Overview Of The Advantage Lock Release Extension Handle

Here is another exciting accessory that we have with the Advantage lifts. It really pertains to our XLT model because the XLT raises 6 feet 10 inches underneath clearance, which is very tall.

Imagine I'm wanting to unlock my lock here, and I'm 6 foot tall. I must stand on my tiptoes to reach this bar to be able to pull it open to come down. How nice is it that we have an extension that you can put on here that lowers my point?

So now all I do is, I want to raise the lift just a little bit here. Now without standing on my toes, I can easily pull this open to disengage my locks, and now I can come down. Another nice feature is as the lift is going down, I can flip this over to this direction and now push it down, and I'm not having to bend over quite as much to get to the bottom lock. Keeps me ease of operation.

Once I've cleared that bottom lock, I can let go of the handle completely, and then this will just store right inside there, nice and neat.

Okay, I want to show you how easy it is to install this extension handle. You're simply going to remove the ball that's on our existing handle. You see it's threaded, and then you have a coupler that you're going to put on. Start that in the threads. You don't need it to be tight—you can just have it be on there loose—and then it's just going to hang.

And then when you're done and you're storing it up, you can store it right here to where it will stay out of the way. And then when it's downward to be able to reach it, it's a 9 inches extension.
