LIFETIME WARRANTY

Advantage Lifts, LLC and Backyard Buddy, LLC (each referred to herein as a “Seller”) lifts (“Products”) are proudly American Made and built to last.  Seller stands behind the quality and workmanship of its respective lifts and provides this Limited Lifetime Warranty to the original purchaser, subject to the terms and conditions set forth below.

Note: The Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to Products purchased and registered on or after December 1, 2025.

The applicable Seller individually warrants that each Product sold by the respective Seller will be free from defects in materials and workmanship subject to the exceptions and limitations set forth herein. 

What This Warranty Covers

• Structural Components – All steel structure components (columns, runways, crossbeams, baseplates, and carriage assemblies) are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for lifetime.
• Welding & Fabrication – Factory welds and fabrication workmanship are covered for lifetime.
• Cylinders, Power Units, & Hydraulics – Covered against defects in materials and workmanship for ten (10) years from the date of purchase.
• Electrical Components, Cables, Sheaves, and Small Parts – Covered against defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

• Consumable parts subject to normal wear and tear including but not limited to cables, hoses, slide blocks, hydraulic fluid, seals and rubber pads.
• Cosmetic issues such as scratches, dings, or surface rust.
• Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, improper maintenance, neglect, accidents, or modifications not authorized by Seller.
• Use of the Product beyond its rated capacity or intended application.
• Damage caused by improper electrical supply or connection.
• Labor, service calls, service technician travel time, shipping, or freight costs related to warranty claims.

Seller shall not be responsible or liable under this warranty for any failure or delay in performance, or for any damage or defect to the Product, caused by circumstances beyond its control, including without limitation Acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, shortages of materials, transportation delays, or governmental restrictions.

Warranty Service

If a defect is suspected, the original purchaser must notify the applicable Seller in writing with proof of purchase, product serial number, and description of the issue. After review, Seller may request photos, additional details, or the return of defective parts to the Seller, freight prepaid.

At Seller’s discretion, the applicable Seller will:

• Repair the defective component, or
• Replace the defective component with a new or reconditioned part.
• Warranty does NOT include labor to remove or install replacement parts.

Replaced or repaired parts will be warranted only for the remainder of the original warranty period. Parts will be replaced as they become available. 

Seller reserves the right to make product design changes or other improvements without obligation to update previously sold Products. Seller shall not be liable for loss of use, inconvenience, lost time, commercial loss or other incidental or consequential damages. Neither Seller shall be responsible for the warranty claims of the other. 

Warranty Conditions – Inspections & Preventive Maintenance

This Limited Lifetime Warranty is valid only if:

• The original owner must register the lift through the online registration portal upon receipt of the lift.
• The lift undergoes a certified inspection performed by an Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Inspector as described below once every thirty-six (36) months, and
• All recommended preventive maintenance in accordance with the guidelines below is completed at least annually.
• If the required annual preventive maintenance is not completed as specified, the lifetime warranty shall be deemed void, and coverage shall revert to a 3-year limited warranty effective from the product’s original purchase date.

• Annual ALI-Certified Lift Inspection

To maintain eligibility for this Life-Time Limited Warranty, each lift must be inspected once per every three years by an Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Inspector.

·          Verification of structural integrity and anchor torque (if applicable).

·          Confirm proper function of all controls and operating components.

·          Safety latch testing and lubrication.

·          Cable examination and tension adjustment.

·          Arm lock examination, adjustment and lubrication.

·          Replacement of minor hardware.

·          Certified Check360 ALI Safety Inspection Label.

·          Digital Lift Inspection Report for each lift inspected.

• Annual Preventive Maintenance
  Preventive maintenance must be performed at least once every twelve (12) months. These services are as follows:
• Cable Lubrication – Lubrication of lift cables to reduce wear and prolong service life.
• Pin Lubrication – Proper lubrication of all grease fittings as specified by Seller.
• Post Lubrication – Cleaning and waxing lift posts to protect against corrosion and ensure smooth carriage travel.
• Hydraulic Inspection – Inspection for any hydraulic or fluid leaks that may compromise lift performance or safety.
• Cable Adjustments – Adjustment of lift cables to ensure proper synchronization and safe operation.

• Documentation Requirement
• Customers must retain proof of inspection and preventive maintenance each year, including the service provider’s name, date of service, and inspector signature (if applicable).
• Seller reserves the right to request these records before approving any warranty claim.

Proof of inspection and maintenance must be retained by the customer and provided upon request to validate warranty claims. Failure to complete and document annual ALI-certified inspections and preventive maintenance will void the Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Limitations of Liability

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, SELLER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE GOODS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WITH ALL FAULTS.

Seller’s liability is limited exclusively to the repair or replacement of defective parts as described above. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE SELLER BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE, OR LOSS OF INCOME.

Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Governing Law

This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in which the Product was purchased.

This warranty does not extend to defects caused by outside use, ordinary wear, abuse, misuse, overloading, improper installation, shipping damage, improper concrete floor, and lack of required maintenance, or Act of God.

This warranty also does not cover parts needed for normal maintenance, wear parts, which include but are not limited to; cables, hoses and slider blocks. On-site labor is not covered by this warranty. No part will be replaced for cosmetic blemishes unless it affects the safety or functionality of the lift.

Advantage Lifts reserves the right to make product design changes or other improvements without obligation to update previously sold equipment.

Advantage Lifts shall not be liable for loss of use, inconvenience, lost time, commercial loss or other incidental or consequential damages. This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania.
