How Does Shipping and Installation Work?
Share
Take a look at some common questions & answers regarding our shipping process below!
What is a "free direct shipping point"?
- A free direct shipping point is a shipping terminal that we have a contract with, typically that's through ABF Freight or Saia Freight. They have locations across the country that we can ship your lift for free to for you to pick up at.
How do I find a contracted trucking terminal location?
- If you call one of our Lift Experts, we can pull a map up and tell you exactly where the closest location is near you.
How are shipping rates determined?
- If you wanted your lift shipped directly to a place of business, it would be quotable through our freight carrier, which would either be ABF or Saia as well. During that quoting process, we speak with them, find out exactly how much the cost would be to get it direct to you and then we speak with the customer and work accordingly.
What if I live in a rural area?
- If you're in a rural area, we can usually still find a terminal. It just might be a couple hours away rather than right down the street - maybe a two-to-three-hour drive. But we can still find a place for you to be able to pick up the lift at, and most importantly, they will load your trailer there at the facility with a forklift. All you will need to pick up the lift is a truck and trailer and a little bit of gas in your tank to go for a drive.
How do I find an installer if I am outside of the White Glove Installation area?
- We have a network of third-party installers that reaches nationwide, so we're able to help you find an installer even if you're out of our personal service area for our white glove delivery and installation.
How much is the White Glove Installation?
- The white glove installation averages between $1,200-$1,500 depending on your exact location. *Please note that this is an average. Costs will vary.*
How long are shipping quotes good for?
- Any shipping quote we provide is good for 7 days and is subject to change after that.
How is my lift protected during shipping?
- Your lift is packaged between two steel end brackets that keep it off of the surface of the container it's being shipped in, whether that's on a 53 ft trailer or you have it on your own car trailer, taking it home. It's not going to be touching the surface and subject to scratches. There is padding protection, things like cardboard, things like wood, some bubble wrap in there - everything is packaged well and meant to keep your lift in good condition on its way to you.
Is shipping included on all accessories, as well?
- Yes! Shipping is included on all of our accessories as well.
