Why Should You Choose Advantage Lifts?

Why Should You Choose Advantage Lifts?

Hi, I'm Tony with Advantage Lifts. I'm here to tell you about our 4-post lifts and the features and benefits of why Advantage Lifts stand above the rest!

The first thing that I believe in is the outside slider. Outside slider means we have a 5 by 5 square tube for our post, and then we have a 6 by 6 slider that wraps completely around that post. This is a steel sleeve that eliminates the wiggling and wobble of a lift that you have in the C channel types.

We cut our locks directly out of the post themselves instead of it being a welded-on tab or a hanging ladder bar that hangs from the top plate of your post. Some other advantages: our locks are three-quarter inch thick versus half inch in the market. We have a collar that has a set screw in it, but we also go on top of that and put a snap ring on the outside to ensure it has no chance of coming off by accident.

All our heims are bigger heims - we use bigger linkage rods, so they don't bend when you're using your lock rod. If you look down on the bottom, you'll see our base plates are 12 inch by 12 inchOur design gives you a good foundation to lift with.

Superior Construction

Our crossbar design is unique - most crossbars are 2 by 4 by 3/16ths diameter. We do 2 by 4 by quarter inch, making it a heavier, thicker crossbar. You'll notice there's no holes drilled in the side of this post that a lot of people do to hang their casters from. That keeps the strength involved in this crossbar.

The caster system is innovative - you put the casters on only when you're going to move the lift from location to location. When you lower the lift down, this cross arm will set into the saddle, and as it continues to go down, it pushes this part down and raises your legs up automatically through a cantilever effect. This makes it easy to move the lift from bay to bay.

Our power unit can be mounted either on the inside, so it's no wider than the lift, or on the outside with two extra holes on the top - it's your choice how you like to have it set up.

Track and Safety Features

We've added several important safety features. We put a rail weld all along the inside of both sides of our track. This rail does two things: First, it makes all of our jack trays roll on casters, allowing smooth movement from end to end. Second, when welded completely from side to side, it strengthens our tracks, preventing flex or bow. We've also boxed in the outside of the tracks for additional strength.

Our cable keeper system is another crucial safety feature. We have bolts that run up right beside our pulleys, holding the cable onto the groove of the pulley. The cable cannot come off until you remove these bolts, preventing common issues where cables slip off and potentially break.

The Locking System

Our dead bolt lock system is particularly impressive. When you raise the lift, you'll see the handle move about a half inch, indicating that it's able to open the locks at all four corners from a single location. We use high-tension springs on each lock for safety - if something goes wrong, letting go of the handle causes the locks to immediately engage in the next available lock hole.

The outside slider design ensures the lock cannot disengage until you purposely raise it up and disengage it with the handles. This provides an extra layer of safety and stability.
